With all of my new projects and endeavors, I wanted to reflect on everything I've learned over the past year.     It started when I changed shooting in .jpeg to RAW format, buying my first external flash, then reflector, and a professional-grade lens, taking classes, finding mentors in the industry, and reading any book I can get my hands on, I'm glad to say my style is changing.

It has been over six months since I last posted on my blog, but along with the New Year's resolutions to go to Europe and graduate with two degrees at once, I am going to try to be more consistent!

Melissa - A Route 66 Adventure

Last Sunday evening, Melissa and I met right before dusk at Lake Arcadia. Melissa graciously agreed to be a model when I was first starting out and needed experience. A year has passed, and it was so fulfilling to see the changes in both of us!

We began at Lake Arcadia ...

Traveled East ...

Danced in the field near Pop's ...

And finished the night at an abandoned house ...

It was incredibly hot, but Melissa was a great sport!  We listened to Pandora radio during the night and talked about all our summer plans.  I'm looking forward to doing another shoot before school starts!
