There are some really awesome Oklahoma vendors that I've worked with recently and wanted to share a few of their websites with you! Each company has its own beautiful strengths in ownership, artistic style, and presentation.
From time to time, I like to share the information of fellow wedding vendors who provide outstanding services. The Woodnote Quartet is a group of college-trained and BFA graduates who are continuing to do what they love. Dustin, Ben, and Kara graduated from UCO with Bachelor’s in Music on their respective instruments. While in college, they kept a rigorous schedule of performances in a variety of ensembles, from large orchestras to quartets to solo recitals. Harriet, having a lifelong love of the violin, met the group while playing in the Oklahoma Christian Community Orchestra. The rest is history. The Woodnote Quartet keeps an ongoing schedule of gigs while still keeping time to practice and teach lessons individually. For more information, visit: www.facebook.com/TheWoodnoteQuartet
Hi friends. For this shoot, I had three rules: 1. No burlap. 2. No mason jars. 3. Style, plan, and shoot within two weeks.
In the world of DIY weddings, this made it tough!
But, with the help of two friends as models, a professional hair stylist and make up artist, a set designer, a florist with years of experience, a handy wedding stationery company, a wedding event planner with the most romantic event venue of all time, and a wedding bridal shoppe with a talent for fit and alterations, I did it. Okay, they did it.
I have two websites to design by the end of September, and a month of weddings, so I wanted to make sure that this shoot made it before November. Because, then it's turkey month. Then comes the month of magic and Santa. And then, a new year begins and I have a completely different, if not more lengthy, bucket list for 2015.
I'd like to publicly thank all who helped behind the scenes or in spirit, and I look forward to another styled bridal shoot in January. Which, thank goodness, is already planned.
Look to the end of the post for a vendor listing, as well as a quick video behind-the-scenes.
