Caleb's Cause Foundation Annual 5K Diaper Drive

I had the honor of photographing Caleb's Cause Foundation's Annual 5K and mile fun run.  It was a diaper drive and fundraiser to support local families in need.  I met some of the most gracious people, was welcomed with breakfast and coffee for the runners, and was able to enjoy a morning of communal support.  This foundation is purposed to allow kids to give back to kids - there is no better way I could think to spend a Saturday morning.

From Marcie Hines:

"We established the organization to provide children in the Oklahoma City area opportunities to get involved in the community and help other children in need.

Since the foundation started, Caleb and other children in the community have been able to help out thousands of their peers by participating in our annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run."

An Ode to the Ring Shot

An Ode to the Ring Shot,
which has become a staple in wedding and engagement photography.  Now more than ever, you see the trend of photographers to highlight the details of the day, the candid moments between loved ones, and the sweet joy of the first looks, rather than the family formals or "composed" shots.

I was going through my parent's wedding album, and it was laced with white and blue tuxes (you heard me), peach flowers and so much lace.  So much lace and peach.  I fondly looked at their ring photo, which was two hands gracefully laid on another, in between two lit candles, with the wedding cake underneath.

That's not what we want these days, so as a thank you to the many lovebirds I've had the honor of photographing this year, I wanted to share a few of my favorites.  Here's to many more to come!
