Thomas & Sara met at nursing school. They have a heart for others, and a love for each other that is rare. They were laughing and joking the entire time. I don't think I've seen a couple who has as much humor between each other as they do. (You have to look at the ring box Thomas hand made for Sara. He proposed in California and wanted to be able to hide the ring better than a traditional ring box. It was so touching.)
We met in Guthrie, Oklahoma and ran around town. We even stopped at the Blue Bell Saloon for a beer and a rest! I rented this beautiful 1955 Chevy truck, since Thomas just purchased one of his own to renovate. Another grand adventure in my books, I had one of the most memorable shoots to date with these fabulous people. I am looking forward to their November 15th wedding!
Hi friends. For this shoot, I had three rules: 1. No burlap. 2. No mason jars. 3. Style, plan, and shoot within two weeks.
In the world of DIY weddings, this made it tough!
But, with the help of two friends as models, a professional hair stylist and make up artist, a set designer, a florist with years of experience, a handy wedding stationery company, a wedding event planner with the most romantic event venue of all time, and a wedding bridal shoppe with a talent for fit and alterations, I did it. Okay, they did it.
I have two websites to design by the end of September, and a month of weddings, so I wanted to make sure that this shoot made it before November. Because, then it's turkey month. Then comes the month of magic and Santa. And then, a new year begins and I have a completely different, if not more lengthy, bucket list for 2015.
I'd like to publicly thank all who helped behind the scenes or in spirit, and I look forward to another styled bridal shoot in January. Which, thank goodness, is already planned.
